(Joe Orth Photo) Relentless Promotions - COLUMBUS, Nebraska (August 6, 2020) - Stu Snyder claimed his sixth win of the season on Thursday night at US 30 Speedway in Columbus, Nebraska with the Sprint Series of Nebraska.

Snyder started in the fifth position of the heat race. He quickly slid into the third position, where he finished behind Ryan Voss and Jason Danley. Tyler Drueke won the second heat race of the night with the Sprint Series of Nebraska.

The 25-lap feature event saw Stu Snyder with yet another fifth place starting position. At the drop of the green, Snyder dove to the middle and gained the third place position by the commence of the first lap. He would get by rookie, Gunnar Pike, the next lap around to claim the second running position and set his hunt for the leader of Jason Danley. Pike would catch the outside fence in turn three and four, causing enough damage to roll to stop. The caution flew over the field with two laps in the book.

The restart saw Danley, Snyder, and Drueke with the top-three running positions. Snyder attempted a slide-job on Danley into turn one, but didn't have enough to claim the top spot. Danley, Snyder, and Drueke would meet lap traffic on the 10th trip around. Snyder quickly began reeling in Danley by running the bottom in turn three and four. Snyder shot past Danley, who was held up on the top by lap traffic on what race officials considered the last completed lap.

Chaos would ensue in the next lap. While attempting to pull away, a lap car would nearly spin in front of the leaders, causing the leaders to be nose-to-tail. Coming out of turn four, the lap car would have a mechanical issue and sent the car flipping wildly into the turn four catch fence directly in front of the leaders. The driver was okay.

Sprint Series of Nebraska officials deemed that the last completed lap would commence the race, as the catch fence was unrepairable to complete the night's event. With 13 laps in the books, Snyder was awarded the feature win, his sixth win on the season.
